Description

Ocean Planet With Three Suns II continues my conceptual exploration of the imaginary ocean planet introduced in the Sea of Three Suns series. Rather than depicting the experience within the ocean, this work observes the planet itself as an independent world shaped by light, water, and crystalline structures. Created with oil paint and UV-reactive pigments, the painting further investigates how heavily layered surfaces respond to changing light. The textured impasto captures subtle variations of color, shadow, and reflection that shift according to the angle of illumination, allowing the painting to transform continuously in the viewer’s perception. The crystalline forms surrounding the planet are not decorative elements but symbolic structures that suggest the relationship between light, matter, and memory. Together with the ocean planet, they create an imagined universe where multiple suns, water, and crystal coexist within the same visual language. This work represents an important stage in my ongoing exploration of light as both a physical phenomenon and a conceptual medium, laying the foundation for my later investigations into crystal, memory, and the preservation of invisible existence.
