I See You II marks an important conceptual expansion within the I See You series. Unlike the floral subjects that appear throughout much of the series, this work introduces a betta fish as its central figure, shifting the exploration of existence from the observation of a visible subject toward a more inward and symbolic realm. The pale betta fish appears to float through a field of luminous, cell-like forms. Rather than belonging to a recognizable physical environment, it seems suspended within an imagined inner space, somewhere between memory, consciousness, and the body. The surrounding forms evoke cells, particles, or fragments of light, suggesting an invisible world in which another existence gradually becomes part of oneself. Here, “I see you” no longer refers simply to the act of looking. It becomes an awareness of another presence that has entered the self so deeply that the boundary between “you” and “I” begins to dissolve. This work represents an early step toward the more conceptual exploration of visible and invisible realities that would later become central to my practice.
[I See You II] I don’t know when it started, but I feel that you are alive inside me. Now, you flow through my veins. I see you like that.
