Faded Memories explores how memory gradually loses its continuity over time. The vertically divided forms represent the flow of memories. Although each memory was once connected as part of a continuous experience, the passage of time creates gaps between them. Some fragments remain vivid, while others disappear, leaving only incomplete traces suspended between remembrance and oblivion. Created with mixed media and UV-reactive pigments, the work investigates how memory is not erased all at once but slowly fragmented. The vertical structures function as visual intervals where time interrupts recollection, allowing light, color, and emotion to survive even after the original narrative has faded. Rather than portraying memory as a fixed archive, this work presents it as something continuously reshaped by time. It forms an important part of my ongoing exploration of memory, light, and temporality, themes that would later evolve into my Crystal Flower series.
