I See You Ⅵ explores the transformation of memory into a crystalline visual form. As memories become distorted, compressed, and scattered over time, the flower emerges not as a fragile botanical image but as something enduring, luminous, and jewel-like. Its familiar form remains recognizable while simultaneously moving toward abstraction. Deep ruby and violet petals are reconstructed through sharply faceted planes that resemble the surfaces of cut gemstones. Surrounded by luminous blues and vivid green leaves, the flower appears to gather and refract the light around it. The contrast between the organic subject and its crystalline structure creates a tension between transience and permanence. Created with oil paint and UV-reactive pigments, the work is designed to reveal different layers of color and perception under changing illumination. The shifting visual experience reflects the instability of memory itself: what seems fixed can change, while traces believed to have disappeared may unexpectedly become visible again. Within the I See You and Crystal Flower series, I See You Ⅵ represents Jennifer Lee’s continuing exploration of the point where figurative painting approaches abstraction.
