Description

Festival explores the energy of light and color through a radiant, crystal-like structure that expands outward from the center of the canvas. The work transforms the emotional intensity of spring into a visual celebration. Light appears to burst, refract, and multiply through crystalline forms, while vivid colors create a sense of rhythm and continuous movement. Rather than depicting a specific scene, I sought to capture the inner sensation of joy and vitality as an explosion of light. Created with oil paint and UV-reactive pigments, the work also reflects an important stage in my exploration of how light can transform color and perception. The crystalline structure at its center anticipates my later investigations into crystal as a vessel for light, time, and memory. Festival was selected as a winner of the 2023 Times Square Billboard Exhibition Contest in New York, marking an important moment in the development of my artistic practice.
